It’s only April but chances are you are already planning and preparing to attend some weddings this spring and summer. And as much I as love the free champagne and cake at weddings, I love a good excuse to get dressed up. With a season full of weddings to attend, each one is different and usually requires a different outfit… it’s a blessing and a curse ;) Today, I’m excited to provide a guide of what to wear to every type of wedding you’re attending this year all for under $100!
Springtime and Chilly Weddings: Long Sleeve Dresses
Look for:
- Long sleeves
- Thicker material
- Rock a denim jacket, leather jacket, or wrap to keep warm
Weddings in the Heat: Asymmetrical and Off The Shoulder Dresses
Look for:
- Off the shoulder and asymetrical dresses to keep cool
- Lightweight, flowy fabrics
- Always bring sunglasses and sunscreen!
Black Tie Weddings: Conservative, structured dresses
Look for:
- Structure, pleats, beading, or lace
- High necklines, loose fit, or toned down colors
Weddings Where You’re Going to Dance: Jumpsuits!
Look for:
- Jumpsuits that aren’t too tight so you can move!
- Make sure form fitting jumpsuits aren’t see through ;)
Casual Weddings: Have fun with print and color!
Look for:
- Cute, fun prints that can be dressed down
- Linen, denim, and seersucker fabrics
Shoes That Won’t Kill Your Feet
Look for:
- Low block heels
