Hello readers! I hope your February is going smoothly. My month was filled with Valentine’s treats (long before and long after the 14th) followed by morning jogs and bargain shopping. In both wardrobe and calories, I had major gains. And of course I face the everyday irony of selling Chanel by day and only attending bars with discounted drinks by night. Hi Cocktail Compass, I love you.
Moving on, after a day of work I will usually request one of two things: wine or a cupcake…I’ll get both if I’m lucky. After attending to customers at work, nothing is more satisfying than a self indulgent cupcake. Don’t even get me started about the time I discovered they were no longer open until 10pm. For this post, I wanted to embrace some fun and silliness of my journey to Cupcake Royale.
There are few things I debate more than how to accessorize my outfit but cupcakes are one of them, and an important one at that. Nothing speaks to my soul and my tastebuds quite like the Triple Threat Cupcake.
What rivals a cupcake is this sweater dress. It is a favorite piece of mine and I was extremely picky about finding the perfect camel sweater. In fact, it turned into a family joke after I described the sweater as a “deep rich camel color” when I requested it for Christmas. I spotted this dress at Forever 21 and for under $20 I couldn’t resist.
The “deep and rich” color is very luxurious and I wanted to keep the look glamorous but simple. I paired the sweater with my cream fur vest (previously seen), black tights, and black wedges with leopard detail. I debated about jewelry but only chose a black bracelet to keep the focus on the dress.

The adorable photo shoot with Michelle Dorman soon turned messy as we embraced a literal meaning of “hot mess.”
February allowed me to have my cupcake and eat it too – but not without being a hot mess in my perfect camel sweater dress.
What a cute shoot! I too enjoy the Triple Threat. So good.
I like how you styled this look with a fur vest.
